Six Sigma Star Healthcare Private Limited has started, for the first time in India, a post graduate programme in Nursing Administration at its Global Institute of Healthcare Management at Vikaspuri, New Delhi. 

The duration of the course is one year divided into two semesters and the number of students per batch is 30. The programme aims to prepare a cadre of competent, skilled and motivated nursing administrators, to take on managerial roles in the healthcare sector with special focus on nursing management.

‘The post graduate programme focuses on the acquisition of administrative knowledge and skills in the areas of health care economy, quality and medico legal aspects, as well as the leadership, managerial and collaborative abilities necessary to contribute to the solution of contemporary health care challenges. Nursing utives and managers have a vital role in the economic and administrative viability of healthcare organisations and are directly responsible for implementation of new technologies and clinical interventions. The Nursing Administrator programme will provide the graduates with the leadership, knowledge and skills to insure that they become effective and integral members of a health care team in an increasingly complex healthcare environment,’ said Maj.
