Aloka Co., Ltd. the pioneer in the production of diagnostic ultrasound systems has announced 3 new models of ProSound Systems. The ProSound alpha 7, the ProSound 3500SX and the ProSound 6 are to be unveiled at the 17th World Congress on Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology, to be held from 7th to 11th of October 2007 in Florence, Italy. The ProSound alpha 7 inherits from ProSound alpha 10. Some of the key features include the Real-time 3D(4D) display and AVM(TM)-Automated Volume Measurement function. At AVM(TM), the operator simply specifies the ROI and the system automatically detects the edge and calculates hyper-echoic or hypo- echoic part. The ProSound alpha 7 is ergonomically designed, the height of console and monitor can be adjusted. It is compact, light in weight and mobile. It consumes 40% less electric power than the earlier model. The ProSound 3500SX is a definite improvement on the ProSound 3500. It is ergonomically designed and comes with a flat panel display (FPD). As an option, Real-time 3D(4D) is also available. Soon the company will come out with major updates. The ProSound 6 is a premium gray scale ultrasound system. The body is very compact along with standard ProSound features like ExPHD(TM), edge enhancement function and MFI(TM)-Multi Frequency Imaging.
