Beckman Coulter Life Sciences has strengthened its leadership team in India with the appointment of Atul Shah as General Manager – India, effective January 1, 2026. In his new role, Shah will be responsible for steering the company’s India business, with a focus on scaling operations, expanding market reach, and deepening engagement with customers and strategic partners across the life sciences ecosystem.

Shah brings a multidisciplinary leadership profile shaped by hands-on experience across commercial strategy, service excellence, marketing, project execution, and partner-led growth models. His career spans a wide spectrum of technology-intensive industries, including automation, robotics, electrical systems, renewable energy, intralogistics, quality and inspection technologies, research instrumentation, life sciences, material sciences, and healthcare, offering him a strong understanding of complex, innovation-driven markets.

Prior to joining Beckman Coulter Life Sciences, Shah spent close to a decade with Leica Microsystems, where he held multiple senior leadership roles. As Country Manager, he played a key role in accelerating business growth in India while also contributing to regional expansion initiatives across the Asia-Pacific and Japan (APJ) markets. His tenure was marked by the development of robust go-to-market strategies, strengthened customer relationships, and a broader commercial footprint for the organisation.

With India witnessing rising investments in biopharmaceutical research, diagnostics, advanced laboratories, and translational science, Beckman Coulter Life Sciences sees the market as a strategic growth priority. Shah’s analytical approach, combined with his focus on emerging technologies and sustainable growth, is expected to further align the company’s India strategy with evolving customer needs across biopharma, academic research, and clinical applications.
