Science-led skin health startup Neothera has secured ₹9 crore in a pre-seed funding round led by Blume Ventures, with participation from Consumer Collective, Veltis Capital, Barbershop Fund—the investment syndicate led by Bombay Shaving Company Founder Shantanu Deshpande—and several prominent angel investors. The funding will support the company’s mission of transforming the management of chronic skin conditions through technology-enabled, evidence-based care.
Founded by Radhika Agarwal, Neothera is building a comprehensive skin health platform that goes beyond conventional skincare by addressing the root causes of chronic conditions such as acne. Its care model combines diagnostics, behavioural interventions, doctor-led treatment protocols, nutritional guidance, AI-powered support, and clinically validated formulations to deliver personalised and long-term skin health solutions.
The fresh capital will be deployed to strengthen the company’s technology platform, expand its product portfolio, accelerate research and development, grow its clinical and scientific teams, and scale customer acquisition across India. The funding was originally raised at the idea stage, reflecting strong investor confidence in Neothera’s vision even before its commercial launch.

Neothera’s flagship offering is an eight-week acne care programme that integrates clinical expertise with AI-driven guidance and personalised lifestyle recommendations. Rather than focusing solely on treating visible symptoms, the company aims to provide holistic, science-backed care that targets the underlying causes of skin disorders, an area that remains relatively underserved within India’s broader healthcare and consumer wellness landscape.
The investment underscores growing interest in healthtech startups operating at the intersection of healthcare, consumer technology, and preventive wellness. As demand rises for personalised and digitally enabled healthcare solutions, Neothera plans to strengthen its position in India’s evolving skin health market by combining medical science, technology, and patient-centric care to deliver measurable long-term outcomes.
