Aster DM Healthcare (India & GCC) has announced a pivotal leadership transition in its technology division: Veneeth Purushotaman will step down as Group Chief Information Officer (CIO), and Kumar K.V. has been appointed as his successor.
Purushotaman, who served as CIO for more than seven years, leaves behind a legacy of transforming the company’s global tech foundation—consolidating systems, accelerating cloud adoption, and strengthening cybersecurity frameworks across India and the GCC. He will continue at Aster as Vice President – Technology (Transition Office) for a brief period to ensure a smooth handover.
Kumar K.V. brings over two decades of experience in healthcare IT and enterprise technology leadership, having held senior roles at organisations such as Narayana Health, PwC and Tata Consultancy Services. In his new role, he will drive Aster’s next phase of digital innovation, focusing on interoperability, data-driven care, and scalable tech infrastructure.
