IFFCO Kisan Finance

In a groundbreaking move to bridge the rural healthcare gap, IFFCO Kisan Finance, in collaboration with NGO Utthaan, has launched a transformative healthcare program in Gaya, Bihar. The first phase of implementation to begin in 15 locations across Gaya and will later be expanded to other parts of the state.

Funded through IFFCO Kisan Finance’s Arogya Vistaar initiative, this Health CSR project will deliver high-quality primary healthcare services, significantly improving healthcare access and outcomes for rural communities.

At the heart of this initiative is creating an Integrated Rural Dig-Physical Healthcare Services (IRDHS) network, developed in association with DocOnline, a leading digital healthcare provider. The network will have a digital health clinic, clinic on wheels services, and upskilling program for local women to offer assisted teleconsultations. The IRDHS model directly addresses the geographical and logistical challenges rural communities face. Additionally, the program will organize preventive health checkup camps, facilitating early detection and timely treatment.

By providing high-quality consultations with leading city doctors and specialists, along with essential diagnostic tests and medications, this initiative cuts the need for long-distance travel for medical care by up to 90%. The IRDHS model will particularly benefit women and adolescent girls, offering them specialized care that is often scarce in rural India. Additionally, it will prioritize preventive healthcare and chronic disease management, especially for senior citizens and children.

Mr. Anjaneya Prasad Prabhala, CEO of IFFCO Kisan Finance, shared, “At IFFCO Kisan Finance, the focus has always been on bringing financial inclusivity to the last mile, ensuring even the most remote communities can access essential financial services. By bringing quality healthcare to underserved communities, we will support their overall well-being, helping them achieve a healthier, more sustainable future.”

Mr. Rajneesh Jain, Secretary of Utthaan added, “Partnering with DocOnline to bring integrated digital and physical healthcare services is a milestone in Utthaan’s mission to uplift rural communities. This initiative will significantly transform healthcare delivery and ensure long-term health improvements for the people of Gaya.”

Mr. Manasije Mishra, Managing Director of DocOnline, said, ” We are excited about this initiative that will reshape rural healthcare delivery. The IRDHS model by DocOnline blends technology with personalized care, enabling us to bring high-quality healthcare to even the most remote regions. This program will be crucial in reducing healthcare disparities and ensuring specialized care reaches underserved communities.”

The IRDHS project represents a new chapter in rural healthcare, where technology and human resources come together to break down the barriers to healthcare access and create sustainable health solutions for the underserved.
