
Maxivision Group of Eye Hospitals, one of India’s leading super-speciality eye care chains, has entered into a landmark joint venture with Malabar Eye Hospital, a trusted name in North Kerala’s ophthalmic landscape for over three decades. The strategic collaboration was formally inaugurated today at Malabar Eye Hospital, Eranhipalam, Calicut.
The grand launch event was graced by dignitaries including P.A. Muhammed Riyas, Hon’ble Minister for Public Works & Tourism; M.K. Raghavan, Member of Parliament; C.P. Musafir Ahmed, Deputy Mayor; Dr. GSK Velu, Chairman, Maxivision Eye Hospitals; Dr. P.M. Rasheed, Director, Malabar Maxivision Eye Hospitals; and Sudheer, Group CEO, Maxivision Eye Hospitals. Leading healthcare professionals and community leaders from across the region were also in attendance.

Malabar Eye Hospital, led by renowned healthcare entrepreneur P.M. Rasheed and his son Dr. Hayaz, has served more than 200 patients daily, earning the trust of the community through its experienced team and advanced ophthalmic services. The hospital is also a pioneer in optometry and paramedical training, empowering over 300 optometrists annually and playing a vital role in Kerala’s healthcare education ecosystem.

As part of the joint venture, the Eranhipalam facility will be transformed into a Super Speciality Eye Hub, offering advanced treatments including LASIK, SMILE, Vitreo-Retina, and Glaucoma care.

Sudheer, Group CEO, Maxivision Eye Hospitals, added, “We are excited to announce the upcoming launch of two new hospitals in Calicut City, along with four secondary care centres in Kannur, Tellicherry, Quilandy, and Perinthalmanna. This expansion will create over 400 employment opportunities in the next two years, especially benefiting local youth trained through Malabar’s respected optometry programs.”
