MedLern, in partnership with NATHEALTH, has launched the Digital Health Master Class (DHMC), a workshop series designed to promote digital technology adoption in hospitals across India. Starting with Hyderabad, Indore, Raipur, and Nagpur, the initiative will expand to over 50 cities nationwide.
The DHMC was created by the Koita Foundation and PwC. It is supported by NATHEALTH, the healthcare industry’s leading body. It targets hospital leaders, offering insights into digital technologies and their application in healthcare.
The workshops aim to build leadership skills in digital adoption, covering established and emerging technologies. Participants will learn how to optimise operations, improve patient care, achieve growth, and enhance financial performance through digital innovation.
The program includes sessions on healthcare digitisation, covering new technologies, strategies for transformation, steps to adopt digital tools, and leadership approaches for implementation.
Deepak Sharma, Co-Founder and CEO of MedLern, described the program as a step toward a digitally empowered healthcare ecosystem. He noted the long-term benefits of digital technologies and highlighted the lack of information that often creates barriers. The program also offers resources and tools to support hospital leaders in executing their digital strategies.
Siddhartha Bhattacharya, Secretary-General of NATHEALTH, stressed the urgency of digital transformation, calling it a necessity for Indian healthcare. He highlighted the DHMC as a key initiative to equip hospitals with the knowledge and tools to use technology effectively. He linked the program to NATHEALTH’s vision for ‘Visit Bharat 2047,’ aiming for a healthier and sustainable future.
The adoption of systems like HMIS, EMR, telemedicine, patient portals, and physician portals can improve hospital efficiency, reduce costs, open new revenue opportunities, and enhance patient care. These tools also streamline workflows and align hospitals with the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) to support India’s digital health goals.
