Father Muller Medical College Hospital (FMMCH) has proudly secured the Joint Commission International (JCI) PRIME certification, an achievement that reaffirms its commitment to patient safety and global healthcare standards. This certification, awarded under the Preventing Risks of Infections and Medication Errors (PRIME) program, highlights FMMCH’s proactive approach to maintaining the highest standards in IV therapy practices, infection control, and medication safety.
The certification ceremony, held at FMMCH’s Decennial Memorial Hall, was organized by the Hospital Infection Control (HIC) Department in collaboration with BD India Pvt Ltd. The program commenced with a reflective prayer led by the team, creating an atmosphere of solemnity and dedication. Dr. Thomas S K, the hospital’s infection control officer, escorted dignitaries to the dais, including FMMCH Director Fr. Richard Aloysius Coelho and Rohit Abrol, Senior Manager of Key Accounts at BD India Pvt Ltd, who served as the chief guest.

Also present were key hospital leaders, including administrators Fr. Ajith Menezes, Fr. George Jeevan Sequeira, and Fr. Nelson D Pias, Chief Nursing Officer Sister Nancy Priya, Medical Superintendent Dr. Uday Kumar, and Dr. B. Rekha, Professor in Microbiology and Chair of the Hospital Infection Control Committee.
