Takeda Biopharmaceuticals India Pvt Ltd, a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd, headquartered in Japan, has recently named Annapurna Das as the General Manager for its operations in India.

With an extensive background spanning over 20 years in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry across India and Southeast Asia, Annapurna brings a wealth of experience to her new role. Prior to joining Takeda, she held pivotal leadership positions at renowned multin​​ational healthcare companies such as Miltenyi Biotec, Sanofi, GSK, MSD, Pfizer, and Organon, where she showcased exceptional leadership skills in sales, marketing, corporate strategy, and business development within both pharma and vaccines sectors.


In her new capacity, Annapurna will spearhead Takeda’s operations in India, with a focus on ensuring patient access to the company’s highly innovative medicines and vaccines. She aims to foster valuable collaborations within the domestic healthcare and pharmaceutical market to address the diverse healthcare challenges prevalent in the country.

Expressing her enthusiasm for the appointment, Annapurna stated, “I am truly honored to be entrusted with this responsibility by Takeda.
