Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra

In a historic achievement, the ongoing Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra has crossed a momentous milestone, with the cumulative footfall surpassing 5 crore in nearly 2 lakh Health Camps conducted across Gram Panchayats and Urban Local Bodies nationwide. Initiated by the Hon’ble Prime Minister from Khunti, Jharkhand, on November 15, the Yatra aims to ensure the widespread benefits of central government health schemes reach the grassroots level.

Under the flagship scheme of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), Ayushman cards are being generated through the Ayushman app, and physical cards are being distributed to beneficiaries. Notably, an impressive 48,96,774 physical cards have been distributed, with a cumulative creation of 2,61,11,405 cards.


Tuberculosis (TB) Screening and Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (PMTBMA): Health Camps actively screen for TB, utilizing symptoms analysis, sputum testing, and NAAT machines. Over 2,62,05,700 people have been screened, and more than 9,93,800 have been referred to higher Public Health Facilities. The Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan ensures assistance for TB patients through Nikshay Mitras, with over 3,62,700 patients consenting and 99,100 new Nikshay Mitras registered.

Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) Detection: In regions with a significant tribal population, screening for Sickle Cell Disease is conducted for individuals up to 40 years of age. Through Point of Care (PoC) tests or Solubility Tests, more than 31,34,600 people have been screened, identifying 60,900 positive cases referred to higher public health facilities.

Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) Screening: Screening for Hypertension and Diabetes, targeting individuals aged 30 and above, has identified over 4,25,76,600 people. More than 16,44,900 were suspected to have Hypertension, over 11,74,700 with Diabetes, and more than 25,50,700 were referred to higher public health facilities.


Nikshay Poshan Yojana (NPY) for TB Patients: Under the Nikshay Poshan Yojana, monetary assistance is provided to TB patients through Direct Benefit Transfer. The details of 69,300 beneficiaries have been collected for this purpose.
