Maharashtra State Government is gearing up to launch a revolutionary healthcare initiative. According to the Health Minister, Tanaji Sawant, plans are underway to introduce a toll-free helpline number, 115, dedicated to addressing medical emergencies right at people’s doorsteps.

This innovative proposal aims to provide citizens with free access to urgent medical care from qualified doctors during critical moments. The helpline is expected to be of immense benefit to senior citizens, those living alone, and patients facing urgent health situations.

The proposal is currently awaiting approval from the state cabinet. The state government is fully supportive of this ambitious project, which seeks to address the healthcare needs of the population effectively. Minister Sawant’s announcement on August 20th has generated anticipation for the imminent launch of the 115 healthcare helpline in Maharashtra.
