Siemens Healthcare Private Limited (SHPL), the Indian subsidiary of global MedTech company Siemens Healthineers AG, has announced the appointment of Hariharan Subramanian as its new managing director, effective from July 1.

Subramanian brings with him over 25 years of experience with Siemens, having held various leadership roles in finance, business administration, enterprise services, and sales functions across software engineering, IT consulting, and healthcare business divisions.

Subramanian takes over the position from Vivek Kanade, who has been assigned new responsibilities within the organization. In his new role, Subramanian will oversee the entire business operations of SHPL, including manufacturing, sales, and distribution. He will also be responsible for shaping the strategic direction of “Zone India,” which includes neighboring countries such as Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, and Maldives.

Prior to assuming the responsibilities of Zone India in May 2023, Subramanian served as the head of sales for the Diagnostic Imaging and Advanced Therapy businesses in India. With his extensive knowledge and experience in the healthcare industry, he is well-equipped to lead SHPL towards continued success and growth.
