Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh Government has made rapid strides by improving the health infrastructure of the state. In this regard, significant changes have taken place in the medical field to hone the skills of the youth.

Recently, CM Yogi announced to set up an advanced pediatric centre at Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS) at a cost of Rs 500 crore, in which treatment of diseases including congenital and other diseases will be available for children, as well as doctors will be able to carry out studies on various diseases. Giving instructions, he said that these centers should be such that they become models for the country and the world.

The responsibility of preparing its action plan has been given to SGPGI. The team of SGPGI will be preparing an action plan after studying the facilities of such centers running in different countries.

The studies of the concerned super-specialty departments will be started in the center. The introduction of degree and diploma courses will also help in preparing specialists in the related field.

SGPGI Director Prof. RK Dhiman said, “Efforts are being made to make the Pediatric Advance Center world-class so that children of the state can also get world-class treatment facilities.”

He also stated that the target has been set to develop the pediatric advanced centre by the end of December 2022.

*Hormonal Issues In Adolescents To Be Treated At Pediatric Advanced Centre*

With the recognition of the National Medical Council in 24 departments in two seats of DM and MAC, as many as 48 specialists will be prepared every year for the treatment of children. This will be a big help for the public of UP as the children will get all the treatments for congenital deformities related to the heart, kidney, liver, and brain in one place.

In the second phase, a center will set up infrastructure for the treatment of diseases related to adolescent girls in the age group of 12 to 18 years, it will be completely related to mental health.

The problem of various hormonal issues occurring in adolescents will also be treated. Facilities like stress management for adolescents, psycho-sexual disorders, Psychiatry and Behavior Addiction Action Psychiatry and gynae-psychiatry clinics for adolescent girls will be provided.
