World Psoriasis Day is celebrated across the globe on October 29 with an aim to increase awareness and improve the access to treatment. It is organized by the International Federation of Psoriatic Disease Associations (IFPA) and is marked by 50 countries across the globe.

Inflammation is the primary cause of the disease and the global theme for this year is you are #Not Alone. Recent studies have indicated association between low Vitamin D levels and Psoriasis cases. The disease affects 125 million people across the globe and is a misguided perception that it is a contagious disease while it can lead to the development of other health issues.
