National Testing Agency (NTA) has brought out a series of instructions with regard to filling the OMR sheet for candidates appearing for the NEET UG Examination 2021. It will conduct the NTA NEET UG Examination 2021 at different centres on 12 September 2021. It said that the NEET UG Examination 2021 will be held in pen and paper mode. According to NTA, candidates can check the sample OMR sheet on the official website: nta.ac.in.

A sample OMR answer sheet along with the instructions on how to fill in OMR answer sheet is already uploaded on the website: neet.nta.nic.in. The candidates are advised to carefully read the instructions on how to fill in the OMR answer sheet and abide by the same,” NTA said in the official notification. According to NTA, Candidates appearing for the NTA NEET UG Examination 2021 are only permitted for using a blue or black ink ball pen for filling in the OMR sheet. While filling OMR sheet, candidates must be borne in mind that these sheets are evaluated by computer software, which is very sensitive. The software can only read duly filled bubbles with black colour.


In a related development, NTA has released the list of cities that will host the NEET UG Examination 2021. This year, the count of test cities has been increased to ensure social distancing amid Covid. The count of cities has been raised from 155 to 198.
