Besides, it will explore the issues and challenges in procurement, use, service, as well as deliberate on the regulation side of refurbished devices.

The ‘Evolution of Teleradiology in Pandemic: The Way Forward’ will deliberate on the significance of teleradiology and how its usage has increased manifold due to the pandemic. In this panel, the speakers will discuss the evolution of teleradiology, particularly in the past one year and how radiologists are putting it into maximum use.

In the line-up also is ‘How Covid-19 has Affected Breast Imaging Centres’. The experts in the panel will deliberate on the additional protection measures in the healthcare operating procedures and processes, which have been developed in breast imaging facilities amidst the pandemic. The radiologists will talk about the new priorities that have emerged for patient care in the breast imaging and breast cancer care community.

The session on ‘Ultrasound: Key Tech Trends Shaping the Future’ will explore how the key trends in new ultrasound technology such as – Integration of AI in Ultrasound, Advancements in 3D Ultrasound and New Ultrasound Visualisation Methods – can play a critical role in speeding up workflows as well as boosting study and treatment of cardiology, gastroenterology, primary care, bariatric specialities, among others.

‘E-learning in Radiology: the Scope and Challenges’ will discuss the effective method of developing competency in radiological interpretation for medical students, and other challenges faced by the faculty and students.

Finally, ‘The Role of Computed Tomography in Covid-19’ will deliberate on how Computed Tomography equipment has emerged as a ubiquitous diagnostic modality in any hospital, owing to its versatility and practicality in addressing the Covid-19 patients.

Besides, on day-1, ‘Radiology & Imaging Excellence Awards’ will be organised to recognise the profound contributions of radiologists across India.
