In a bid to heighten collaboration on research, training, co-hosting seminars, conferences and symposia around esoteric tests in the country, Diagnostics chain with the largest accredited lab network, has inked an agreement with the US-based Mayo Clinic Laboratories. The collaboration aims to facilitate initiatives between the two organisations to help physicians maintain lifelong knowledge and skills for safe clinical practice.

“As the world is trying to grapple with the fallout from the pandemic, the need to focus on up-skilling, technology optimization and clinical knowledge are imperative within the medical fraternity. The collaboration will further help physicians maintain lifelong knowledge and skills for unique, niche, yet critical, lab tests to present accurate diagnosis and provide the right treatment to the patients, especially in super specialised fields of medicine. The prime areas of educational symposia include laboratory analysis for Neurology, Oncology, Hematology, Gastroenterology, Infectious Diseases, Endocrinology and Inborn errors of metabolism,” the company’s CEO Anand K said.

He added: “I believe this is a very good opportunity for cross-fertilisation of ideas. It is wonderful to find a collaborator who shares the same ideology of providing high-quality and cost-effective diagnostics services that improve physicians’ ability to care for patients. We are inspired by the knowledge management initiatives at Mayo Clinic Laboratories and looking forward to emulate this model in India. In the coming months and years, we will fully make use of the knowledge sharing arrangement for the benefit of the customers and patients we serve.”

In the globalised environment, he added, having exposure to health practices in other parts of the world is an asset for medical professionals. “Our collaboration with Mayo Clinic Laboratories will only empower physicians in India in augmenting the quality of patient care to a very high level.”
