Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal has tested negative for the coronavirus disease (Covid-19), a official said.

AAP supremo underwent the test for the novel Coronavirus on Tuesday morning.


“The chief minister has tested negative for COVID-19,” the official was quoted saying by a PTI report.

The 51-year old CM has not been meeting people since Sunday afternoon after he first felt feverish. Subsequently, he decided to self-isolate, cancelled all scheduled meetings and then followed it up with a Covid-19 test.

On Sunday, he announced couple of measures regarding lockdown and reservation of beds for Delhi residents in the hospitals run by the State Government. Later the decision to favour Delhi residents in the hospitals was overruled by the Lt Governor.

Meanwhile, number of Corona cases is on the rise in the city in awful manner. The total tally has crossed 31,000 mark.
