Coronavirus: Workers wear masks

On Sunday morning, 38-year-old Saif Ali, who tested coronavirus positive, died in All India Institute of Medical science (AIIMS), Patna, Bihar.

This is the first case of coronavirus death in Bihar. Another, two have also tested positive in Bihar, undergoing treatment in AIIMS.

The 38-year-old Saif was suffering from chronic kidney diseases. Saif had recently returned from Middle East and reached his village Munger district.

Ragini Mishra, nodal officer of the corona, said Saif’s sample was sent to RMRI on March 20. “We are collecting details from Munger,” she also said.

The state government has tasked the Munger district administration to identify all those who had come in contact with Saif.

Till now 415 have tested positive of coronavirus in India and 7 died due to epidemic. Maharashtra is the worst hit with 89 confirmed cases. Kerala has the second-highest number of cases at 67. Delhi has reported 35 positive cases, meanwhile Uttar Pradesh records 27 cases.
