super speciality cancer hospital

With an objective to provide the best cancer care to the people of the State, the American Oncology Institute (AOI), one of South Asia’s chain of cancer hospitals, has inaugurated a cancer hospital in Jammu.

The hospital has been established in partnership with the Acharya Shri Chander College of Medical Sciences and Hospital (ASCOMS).


It was inaugurated by Atal Dulloo, Financial Commissioner, Health and Medical Education, and Sanjeev Verma, Divisional Commissioner, Jammu Sanjeev Verma.

The hospital has come as a major relief to people in the State as they had to go outside the Union Territory for specialised treatment.


Duello said the government is also constructing a state-of-the-art cancer care facility at a cost of Rs 120 crore in Jammu which is expected to be completed within three years.
