Fortis Healthcare

Private sector lender, Yes Bank has trimmed down its stake in the healthcare firm by 2% by selling over 1.51 crore shares of the company, according to a document filed by Fortis Healthcare.

According to the filing to the BSE, Yes Bank sold over 15 million equity shares of the company, constituting 2.0010 per cent of the paid-up share capital of Fortis Healthcare Ltd as on March 31, 2019, in various tranches.


Going by sources, the shares of the healthcare firm was sold in open market between December 20, 2018 to June 7, 2019.

After the sale, Yes Bank has 6.76 per cent stake left in the healthcare chain.

The healthcare firm now has Northern TK Venture Pte Ltd as its promoter with 31.17 per cent stake in the company.


The shares of Fortis Healthcare on Tuesday closed at Rs 132.55 per scrip on the BSE, up 4.29 per cent from its previous close.

Earlier in 2018, Yes Bank was the biggest shareholder with a 17.31 per cent stake in Fortis Healthcare, India’s second largest hospital chain.
