Healthcare Summit-Mumbai

“Health and well-being is important for people of all age today and IT solutions play a pivotal role to make them avail accessible and quality healthcare facilities,” said Sunil Kumar Bhushan, DDG and Head Health Sector, National Informatics, on Thursday while delivering a speech at the Healthcare Innovation Summit in Mumbai.

Organised by Elets Technomedia, the Summit witnessed a galaxy of healthcare experts including top policymakers, industry stalwarts, and hospital decision-makers, who deliberated on different aspects of healthcare delivery system. They brainstormed about existing situation of Indian healthcare sector and what is the way forward to enhance care leveraging modern-technologies and innovations.

International experts and Industry veterans who graced the occasion included Ada Dyndo, Head of Mumbai office, Polish Investment and Trade Agency, India; Uday Ulhe, Representative, Univercell & Amplycell Belgium (Wallon) Companies; Dilip Patil, Founder Director, Trivector Group & Baby Quest Cryobank; Dr Sachin Malhotra, CEO, TC4A India; and Nilesh Patel, Co-founder & CEO, LeadSquared.

Underscoring the importance of IT solution to bolster patient care, Bhushan said: “AT NIC we have developed certain solutions to boost healthcare delivery system across India. Our solutions include ehospitals and eblood banks which mainly boost patient care.

A special issue of eHealth magazine was also released on this occasion.

Healthcare experts deliberated upon various contour of healthcare delivery system i.e how different deliverables of healthcare system could be leveraged to enhance patient care at the summit. They also shed light on best practices in healthcare domain and how modern-technologies can further facilitate patient care. The theme of the summit was ‘Taking healthcare delivery to next level–best practices, innovation & excellence’.

A series of panel discussion, touching all aspects of healthcare delivery system, were held on the occasion. Healthcare luminaries and decision makers shed light on how to leverage latest innovative practices to augment healthcare delivery process. They also discussed contours of quality and affordability which are major factors for both patients and healthcare service providers.

Topics of panel discussion were ‘Role of Emerging Technologies and Health Information Security in Hospitals’, ‘Ensuring Affordable Quality Treatment and Meeting up with Patients’ Expectations’, ‘Ensuring Profitability Through Optimum Patient Care’, and ‘Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning in Healthcare’.

Healthcare service providers were also felicitated with Healthcare Excellence award on this occasion for their exemplary services in healthcare ecosystem.
