Healthcare cycleDigitalisation has played a crucial role in augmenting healthcare delivery system, enabling people to avail better patient care. A mobile application has been developed by the Maharashtra Medical Council (MMC) which will prove to be a boon to people in availing quality healthcare from finest doctors.

The app will help people to keep track of registered doctors to MCI. It will be helpful to keep those doctors at bay who has not registered with the council and still practicising in different parts of the State.


As per the officials, all the data of registered doctors are available with the council and people can easily cross-check doctors’ registration number through the app.

The app, which also provides facility to file complaint against fake doctors to MMC, is available on Google play store.

 “Citizens will have an option of searching the names, registration number, and registration date of any doctor. The search function is easy, ” Dr Shivkumar Utture, president, MMC was quoted as saying by ET.

“If the people come across a doctor who is not registered with the council, they can complain to us directly through the application,” Utture further stated.
