Elets Technomedia, Asia and Middle Easts premier media and technology research organisation on Monday organised prestigious Healthcare & Wellness Summit in New Delhi.


A day-long conference brought together policymakers, international experts and industry leaders to discuss and deliberate upon various facets of healthcare ecosystem. Conducive policies, reaching out to the last mile with healthcare services, importance of technology and innovation for health, challenges and opportunities, etc were discussed at length during the conference.

On this occasion, the Industry leaders and healthcare organisations were also felicitated for their exemplary initiative in healthcare sector.


Many panel discussions including Taking healthcare services to the citizens: Conducive policy and its implementation, Hospital management with care: The Road ahead and smart healthcare through technology and innovations were organised where panelists shared their views on healthcare topics.

The event started with inaugural session where panelists discussed about how to build healthier world with innovations. Speaking at inaugural session, Ankit Bahl, Advisor, Trade & Investment, Embassy of estonia talked about digital healthcare in Estonia. We have started e-prescription in Estonia, promoting paperless government, said Ankit Bahl, Advisor, Trade & Investment, Embassy of Estonia.

Jayati Singh, Assistant Collector, Barwani, Government of Madhya Pradesh who has been at the forefront for starting immunisation programme in Barwani district of Madhya Pradesh said, Delivery of healthcare was a big challenge in Barwani because of mountainous terrain. She further said, Technology is major game-changer in healthcare sector with innovation playing a major role.

Health insurance is important and we all must go for annual health checkup as India is a leading country in NCDs, says Dr Sandeep Chatrath, regional CEO, Apollo Hospitals, AP & Telangana.

He further said the AskApollo solution connects doctors and patients to offer latest healthcare solution to people in remote areas.

We focus more on PPP to bridge skill gap in healthcare. Its very important. We have done PPP partnership on telemedicine front in Andhra Pradesh, Transparency is very important said Dr Sandeep Chatrath, regional CEO, Apollo Hospitals, AP & Telangana.

Data is very crucial thing in Aayusman Bharat scheme but identification of beneficiaries is a big challenge, said Jayati Singh, Assistant Collector, Barwani, Government of MP.

We started cashless word in nineties. There are huge challenges related with NHPS. Premium and identification of beneficiaries will be a big challenge, said Dr Nayan Shah, Paramount Healthcare.

While speaking during a discussion on Hospital management with care, Dr Saarthak Bakshi, CEO, International Fertility Centre said, Patient centricity and clinical excellence are important aspect of a hospital management.

Business plan has to match with pricing. Project cost, volume of technology and manpower cost determine pricing, said Dr Sanjeev Bagai, Vice chairman and director, Manipal Health.

A day-long event ended with the note that smart healthcare is need of the hour where technology and innovation playing an instrumental role for better healthcare delivery.
