Aditya Birla Health Insurance clears the first step of regulatory clearances to commence business

Aditya Birla Health Insurance Co Ltd, a step-down subsidiary of Aditya Birla Nuvo Ltd, announced on July 12 that it has received ‘certificate of registration’ from regulator Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority (IRDA), moving a step closer to commencing business.
Overview
- Has received Certificate of Registration – Form R3 dated July 11, 2016 for Health Insurance business.
- Edelweiss Financial Services has also informed BSE that IRDA has accepted the registration application form IRDA /R1, for setting up a General Insurance Company in India.
- This is the first step of regulatory clearances required for carrying on the business as general insurance company in India
