Gaurav Dubey, Founder & CEO of Livlong 365

In an era where digital health integration is transforming patient care, this exclusive interview with Gaurav Dubey, Founder & CEO of Livlong 365, by Dr. Asawari Savant of Elets News Network (ENN), delves into how Livlong 365’s integration with ABHA is revolutionizing healthcare accessibility, data security, and patient experience in India. With ABHA set to reshape the healthcare ecosystem, this discussion highlights its impact, challenges, and future potential. Edited excerpts

Can you walk us through Livlong 365’s integration with ABHA? What key functionalities does it offer to users?

The Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) is a government initiative aimed at providing every Indian citizen with a unique health ID, similar to Aadhaar, to centralize and streamline medical records. This integration allows users to create, link, and manage their ABHA ID within the Livlong 365 platform. By doing so, patients can securely store and retrieve their health records from hospitals, clinics, and diagnostic centers, ensuring seamless access to their medical history. Doctors, in turn, can make more informed clinical decisions, leading to better patient care and outcomes.

Livlong 365 has projected a 200–300% growth in ABHA linkages by FY2026. What factors will drive this rapid adoption?

Livlong 365 currently serves close to 10 million customers, with continuous growth driven by expanding services and distribution partnerships. As we actively promote ABHA linkage among our users, we expect widespread adoption in the coming months. Additionally, the government is considering regulations that may require insurers to tag claims with customers’ ABHA IDs. This mandate could significantly accelerate adoption, making ABHA an essential part of the healthcare and insurance ecosystem.

How does the ABHA integration enhance the overall patient experience and healthcare delivery through Livlong 365?

As a healthcare provider offering OPD consultations and lab services, Livlong 365 ensures that patients can seamlessly tag their prescriptions and lab reports to their ABHA ID. This enables users to store, download, and share their medical records digitally via the ABHA app. With this integration, patients no longer need to rely on physical records, reducing paperwork and improving care continuity by allowing doctors and hospitals to access their health history instantly.

With growing concerns around data security and privacy in digital healthcare, how does Livlong 365 ensure secure and consent-based data sharing through ABHA?

Livlong 365 adheres to strict security protocols mandated by the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM). To enable ABHA linkage, healthcare service providers must undergo a rigorous certification process that includes thorough data security assessments, vulnerability testing, and process validations by ABDM auditors. Additionally, the system follows a robust consent-based framework, ensuring that users have full control over how and when their medical data is shared. This certification process guarantees compliance with the highest data protection standards before any healthcare facility can exchange data with the ABHA system.

How does this integration align with Livlong 365’s long-term growth strategy and vision for digital healthcare in India?

Livlong 365 is positioned as a leading OPD healthcare provider, not only facilitating care but also actively delivering healthcare services. Our long-term strategy involves deep integration with health insurers to streamline OPD care and insurance claims. Seamless data exchange between Livlong 365, hospitals, clinical institutions, and insurers is crucial for achieving this vision. Digital initiatives like ABHA play a key role in enabling this interconnected healthcare ecosystem, ensuring efficiency, transparency, and improved patient care.

In your view, how does ABHA contribute to strengthening India’s healthcare ecosystem?

ABHA is a transformative initiative that ensures medical data is accurately shared with the right healthcare providers at the right time. This improves diagnosis, treatment, and overall clinical care while reducing inefficiencies caused by lost or incomplete medical records. By enabling a unified digital healthcare framework, ABHA enhances accessibility, minimizes redundant testing, and ensures timely medical interventions—ultimately improving public health outcomes in India.

Looking ahead, how do you see technology shaping the future of healthcare in India, and what role will initiatives like ABHA play in this transformation?

Technology will be the driving force behind India’s healthcare transformation, making services more patient-centric, efficient, and accessible. Digital health initiatives like ABHA are foundational in this shift, enabling interoperable health records, telemedicine, AI-driven diagnostics, and data-driven clinical decisions. As the adoption of digital healthcare accelerates, Livlong 365 remains committed to leveraging technology to enhance patient care and contribute to a more integrated and resilient healthcare ecosystem.
