CureAble

Delhi-based healthcare startup CureAble, focused on personalized therapies for neurodivergent children, has secured Rs 2 crore in a pre-seed funding round from US-based investment firm Brahma Tank. Founded in July 2023 by childhood friends Krishnakant Singh, Arbob Mehmood, Atabik Fasahat, and Vikas Deep, CureAble aims to transform special-needs care through a structured, personalized, and trackable approach.

In India, 1 in 8 children faces some form of neurodivergent condition, including autism, ADHD, Down syndrome, slow learning, and other developmental challenges. Alarmingly, 80% of these children do not receive proper care.

Globally, 1.2 billion people live with such conditions, with the special-needs care market expected to reach USD 68.6 billion by 2028. CureAble’s innovative framework positions it for significant growth, both in India and globally, addressing a critical gap in healthcare services for neurodivergent individuals.

The newly raised funds will be utilized to establish multiple therapy centers and special schools across India while expanding the team. The startup also plans to develop specialized therapeutic tools and technologies alongside community outreach initiatives.

Krishnakant Singh, Co-founder of CureAble, emphasized the company’s mission: “These steps will transform the special-needs care sector, bringing innovation and empathy to therapy-based services while revolutionizing how therapies are provided.”

With over 12 years of experience in special-needs therapy, Vikas Deep highlighted the importance of individualized care: “Every child is unique, yet therapy often follows a one-size-fits-all model. At CureAble, we tailor therapies to each child’s strengths and challenges, ensuring meaningful progress.”

The post-COVID era has seen a sharp rise in learning disabilities and ADHD among children, attributed to increased screen time, reduced social interaction, and academic pressures. Atabik Fasahat, Co-founder of CureAble, noted: “Existing systems cannot support these children effectively. We need a personalized, transparent, and trackable framework to ensure consistent care during their crucial growth years.”

Looking beyond India, CureAble aims to impact 100 million special-needs children globally within the next five years. Arbob Mehmood, Co-founder of CureAble, shared the company’s vision: “Our roadmap includes home-based care, therapy centers, school-based programs, and technology-driven solutions like VR and app-based therapies.”

Gurmeet Likhari, Founder of Brahma Tank, praised CureAble’s innovative approach: “CureAble is tackling one of the most pressing yet overlooked challenges in healthcare. Their data-driven, personalized therapy model has the potential to revolutionize how care is delivered globally.”

By combining personalized therapies, technology-driven solutions, and community outreach, the startup is redefining how special-needs care is delivered and tracked. As they scale their impact across India and beyond, CureAble stands poised to transform millions of lives, setting a new standard for accessible, effective, and compassionate neurodivergent care.
