
Renowned for her unwavering dedication to accessible healthcare, Dr. Minnie Bodhanwala, a prominent figure in the healthcare industry, has recently unveiled her biography titled *Defying Conventions: A Maverick Healthcare Odyssey*. This compelling book details her extraordinary journey and is poised to inspire many.
Dr. Bodhanwala has devoted 35 years to advancing India’s health and education sectors. She has been at the helm of Bai Jerbai Wadia Hospital for Children (300 beds, established in 1926) and Nowrosjee Wadia Maternity Hospital (305 beds, established in 1929) as CEO since 2012. Her leadership has significantly transformed these semi-government charitable hospitals, improving healthcare access for underprivileged women and children. Dr. Bodhanwala’s efforts have earned her over 50 awards in the healthcare sector, and under her stewardship, the Wadia Hospitals have received 40 national and international accolades.

Reflecting on her journey, Dr. Bodhanwala identifies three key elements: overcoming challenges independently, navigating crises through decisive action, and prioritizing compassionate care. She stresses the importance of making high-quality, compassionate care accessible and affordable.

Her newly launched book, *Defying Conventions*, is garnering attention and acclaim for its inspirational narrative. Dr. Bodhanwala states, “This book encapsulates my 35-year journey in the healthcare field. Young entrepreneurs today often give up when faced with failure, losing their motivation. I wrote this book to inspire others to persevere and pursue their goals in healthcare without giving up.”

Dr. Bodhanwala holds an impressive array of qualifications, including BDS, MBA, MHA, TQM, FCR, PGQMAHO Green Belt Six Sigma, Principal Assessor NABH, ISO Auditor 9001-14001, FISQA, and Internal Counselor Joint Commission International (JCI). Since starting her career in 1986, she has been dedicated to serving humanity, bringing smiles to 300,000 individuals annually through her current organization.
Dr. Bodhanwala also serves as an advisor to the Chairman of the Wadia Group for CSR activities, Impact India Foundation by UNDP, UNICEF, WHO, Modern Education Society, Britannia Nutrition Foundation, and Sir Ness Wadia Foundation. She has played a crucial role in organizing the annual Little Hearts Marathon in Mumbai, which raises awareness and funds for children with cardiac diseases.
