In commemoration of World Hearing Day, Signia, a global leader in hearing aid technology, has unveiled an ambitious month-long campaign titled #HearTheChange. This initiative aims to combat the stigma associated with hearing loss while advocating for comprehensive ear and hearing care.

The #HearTheChange campaign, launched in India, features a series of educational programs, social media campaigns, and community outreach efforts, all designed to raise awareness about the importance of early detection and treatment of hearing loss. A key component of this endeavor is the sharing of inspiring stories from individuals who have successfully overcome hearing stigma and transformed their lives with modern hearing aid technology.


Signia’s CEO & MD of WS Audiology India, Avinash Pawar, emphasized the need to challenge societal misconceptions surrounding hearing aids. Pawar stated, “Wearing a hearing aid in our society should be as normal as wearing spectacles. There should be no stigma or hesitation.” He highlighted the importance of fostering a culture of acceptance and understanding to ensure that everyone can live life to the fullest, regardless of their hearing ability.

In addition to awareness-raising activities, Signia is facilitating accessibility to hearing care through complimentary ear check-up camps held at over 180 centers across India. To further enhance accessibility, online registration and support via a toll-free calling number are being provided. Participants will also have the opportunity to benefit from special offers on hearing aids, underscoring Signia’s commitment to making hearing care accessible to all.

The #HearTheChange campaign aligns with this year’s World Hearing Day theme, “Changing Mindsets: Let’s Make Ear & Hearing Care a Reality for All,” by addressing the pervasive issue of untreated hearing loss. Despite its widespread impact, hearing loss often goes unreported due to lack of awareness and social stigma. As part of the campaign, Signia encourages individuals to become #HearTheChange Saathis (partners) on social media to make a difference in the lives of millions worldwide.
