Health Development Center of Islamic Countries (HTDC) is an international organisation that aims to promote business networking between activists and players in the field of health and health services. HTDC believes that Islamic countries have a huge potential for the development of the health and health tourism industry, and by joining a cooperation, all countries can receive win-win benefits, expressed Majid Zangooei, Secretary General, Health Tourism Development Center of Islamic Countries (HTDC) at Elets Global Healthcare Summit and Awards in Dubai.
He expressed, “HTDC offers a variety of services and programs throughout the year in many countries, including the HTDC accelerator, which supports startups and knowledge-based companies in the health and health system field. The organisation provides advertisement, mentorship programs, and support for business models to help startups find investors and partners in other countries.”

HTDC also has an academy that offers training workshops for all health and health system activists. These workshops are available both online and in-person, and the organisation provides facilities for its members. Additionally, HTDC magazine promotes hospitals, clinics, medical tourism, medical equipment companies, and startups in the field of health and health services.

“The organisation hosts various exhibitions and conferences during the year with business networking meetings, including the International Health Congress of Islamic Countries, IPH International Private Hospitals Congress and Exhibition, and Wellness Tourism Congress and Exhibition. HTDC also holds business networking meetings in other countries such as Dubai, Oman, Qatar, Kazakhstan, and Turkey”, he added.
HTDC believes that Islamic countries have a huge potential for quality services at affordable prices, and they focus on networking and branding to promote these countries in the international market. The organisation has a new affiliate called HTDC accreditation, which further emphasises its commitment to promoting the potential of Islamic countries in the health and health tourism industry.
Adding to his speech he also mentioned, “The rise of startups in Islamic countries has been remarkable, but there is a need for government support to sustain and enhance their growth. The Ministry of House has been instrumental in facilitating networking opportunities for startups in UAE. The UAE government offers various facilities and resources for startups, including access to investors. In addition, the government’s support for networking is crucial for startups to thrive in the competitive market. As a result, the government is committed to continuing its support for startups, which will undoubtedly contribute to the growth of the country’s economy.”
