Q The 2018 has been an eventful year in many dimensions for various sectors. How do you look at the year gone by in terms of technology and innovations related initiatives in healthcare space?
There are three major areas driving the next wave of Digital Transformation in every industry: Automation, Analysis and AI. Healthcare industry is one of the early adopters and user of emerging technologies as it directly impacts human life. 2018 saw some breakthrough innovations: Health AHM (Anytime Health Monitoring), AI bases Fatigue Management system, Nano sized Sensors for Predictive analytics and AI-based critical care management for critical patients. Globally, we have seen very innovative startups emerging and creating life-saving solutions for healthcare providers and operators.
Q Kindly give an overview of your organisation’s contribution to healthcare sector in 2018.

Apart from this, Dell EMC partnered with Ministry of Family Welfare and Health, Government of India to help enable Digital Transformation of its flagship programme Ayushman Bharat by providing a Data Lake architecture platform for Data management, Dashboarding and Analytics.
Q In the light of increasing role of technological advancements and innovations in healthcare delivery, please unveil your plans for 2019.
As I see it, 2019 will see further emergence and adoption of key technologies around 3 As which will further make Healthcare management and operations more affordable, easy and flexible by enabling Digital Transformation 2.0. Technologies like AI, Blockchain and Remote monitoring automation will enhance our healthcare capabilities. I see two major areas of focus and growth in India: Mass healthcare outreach and affordability. Some of our ecosystem partners are creating value in this space. From enabling real time analytics for a better predictive analysis to reducing complexity in health products. Dell EMC is focused on Digital transformation of Healthcare by offering products and solutions in these areas : Health IT Transformation, Precision Medicine Transformation, Connected Health Transformation and Data Security.
Q Technologies have enhanced patient care in an unprecedented manner. Can you list out some technologies which will pave the way to transform healthcare sector in 2019?
Some areas which will see more innovative products and solutions entering healthcare market are: 1. Human-machine partnerships will reshape how we share medical information, treat disease, and discover new therapies more precisely. 2. Data Security transformation – India is already on the verge of its own Data Security law which will change the dynamics 3. Wearable based analytics and predictive management 4. Anytime, Anywhere Health checks will be a widespread concept 5. Remote health diagnostics and real time response will be a key driver for innovation.
