BabyChakra, an online parenting startup, has raised some fresh funding from investors namely Mark Mobius & Rajesh Sehgal backed Equanimity Ventures Fund, Facebooks director Anand Chandrasekaran and OYOs Chief Strategy Officer Maninder Gulati.

However, the amount remains undisclosed, but the funding would be used to strengthen the companys region and vernacular segment.


Other investors are from Apple, McKinsey India, and HCL technologies.

Existing investors Arihant Patni, Artha Ventures and Bharat Rawla were also present in the round.

The fresh capital will be used to further strengthen BabyChakras regional and language-specific content and communities as well as deepen personalization in the product platform, said founder and CEO, Naiyya Saggi, BabyChakra.


About 70 per cent of the companys users are from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities in India, use 10 languages to make health decisions on the portal.

It is to be noted that BabyChakra is having one of the largest engaging online community of mothers and bring healthcare, education and childcare ecosystem to Indian families.
