Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Ashwini Kumar Choubey will inaugurate trauma and emergency wing at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Patna on 1 August.

The minister will inaugurate 250 beds in the hospitals indoor department.

Eight modular operation theatres will be inaugurated in the trauma and emergency block of the hospital.

“We are not going to admit simple cases of trauma fracture in the trauma wing. Only those cases which require the intervention of AIIMS-Patna doctors will be admitted at the hospital,” said Prabhat Kumar Singh, AIIMS, Director, Patna.

As per sources, apart from eight modular OTs that would be inaugurated by the Union Minister, 20 more modular OTs are almost ready and likely to be inaugurated next month.

30 postoperative beds have already made functional in the B Block of the hospital at one place and now, it would be easier for doctors to look after postoperative cases.
