Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister has launched a pilot project of ‘real-time’ governance at the Public Health Centre (PHC) in Penumuru town of Chittoor district.
A web application was formally inaugurated by Naidu, who also interacted with district medical and health officials through a video-link.
“All reports pertaining to the public health centres would be kept at the disposal of the Chief Minister. This would include details of inpatients and outpatients, medicines distributed and specification of diseases. The biometric attendance of the staff would also come under direct surveillance of the CM,” an official was quoted as saying by the media.
Under the pilot project, top priority would be given to high risk pregnancy care and follow-up services. Other priority areas would include immunisation programme, escort of pregnant women to delivery points and health awareness campaigns.
