Mumbai-based Metropolis Healthcare on Thursday announced to have set up a chain of 500 pathology labs and diagnostic centres in the city, as it celebrates 35 years of operations in the country.
We now plan to add up 500 more centres in Mumbai in the next 12-18 months and about 1,000 plus centres all over India, Sri Lanka and Africa, the CEO, Metropolis Healthcare, Vijender Singh said.
According to Singh, Indias diagnostics market is estimated at around $2.2 billion and is poised to double by 2018. To support this growth, we have been building on automation, adopting global best practices and introducing new tests and technologies, he added.
Metropolis is a global chain of pathology labs and diagnostic centres with over 150 labs and over 1,500 health centres globally.
