“Also, our maternity services combine the best of clinical excellence that Apollo has to offer with an unparalled luxury experience that every expecting mother deserves. A Cradle combines the clinical excellence of Apollo Hospital, the warmth of a home and the luxury of a hotel. In Amritsar, this is literally the case, with the Cradle being established in a building which was part of a 5 star hotel earlier,” she added.

Apollo Cradle and Apollo Clinic are located on Court Road in Amritsar.

Apollo Cradle, a hospital for women and children, has international standard operating theatres, a level III neonatal ICU that can handle the most complex pre-term babies, a pediatric ICU and ward and luxurious patient rooms.

The hospital also boasts of high-end diagnostic equipment including a 4D ultrasound machine that can detect fetal anomalies.

Apollo Clinic, the 79th multi-specialty clinic opened by the hospital chain, will offer specialists doctors, diagnostics, treatment facilities, including dental and physiotherapy, all under one roof.

Commenting on this launch, Neeraj Garg, CEO, Apollo Health and Lifestyle said, “There is a virtual epidemic of non-communicable diseases in India. The economic cost of diabetes, cardiovascular disease, respirator disorder and cancer, is going to be huge… Apollo Clinics are playing a significant role in helping alleviate the burden of NCDs in India.”

“Early detection is critical to the management of NCDs, and with the Apollo Health Checks programme, residents of Amritsar must pledge to get their health checked each year so that they win the battle against NCDs. The Apollo Clinic will also make daily healthcare simpler and more convenient, with all doctors, diagnostics and treatment facilities all under one roof,” he added.
