In a move to expand its presence in South India, Clove Dental, one of Indias largest dental chains promoted by Global Dental Services, has formed a strategic partnership with Dentys to expand its presence in South India, a company statement said.

Clove has currently 118 clinics in Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Chandigarh, Rajasthan and Maharashtra, while Denty’s, a brand of Today’s Healthcare India Pvt. Ltd, has 22 clinics in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Telangana and Tamil Nadu.

Within a short span, we have established ourselves as a brand that stands for high quality dental care. This strategic alliance will help us strengthen our position in Southern India which will be a win win both for existing Clove and Dentys patients,” said Louis Shakinovsky, Chairman, Global Dental Services Ltd.

“The customers here will benefit as they will have access to Nationwide panel of Doctors & Specialists with World Class infrastructure and latest technology/equipment, besides being able to continue their line of treatment with their existing preferred doctor. Nothing changes for the customer, in fact, it only gets better for them as they can leverage the best of both worlds, he added.

Nine Rivers Capital Advisors & Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas acted as the financial & legal advisors to Dentys and Samvad Partners, a leading legal advisory firm advised Clove Dental on the transaction, the statement said.

As part of its expansion plan, Clove aims to launch 600 clinics across India by 2021. Clove and Dentys have together invested over Rs 200 crores in infrastructure and state-of-the-art equipment.

According to Ken Research, the India dental care services market will register double digit growth rate and will reach over Rs 14,700 crore by FY2020. Research analysts at Ken Research suggest that the domestic players need to focus on effective marketing strategies and educating the consumer on the importance of good dental care and hygiene.
