Cipla appoints Peter Lankau as independent director

Cipla Ltd has appointed Peter Lankau as an independent director on its board with effect from 10th January 2017. Lankau has graduated with Bachelors of Science in Biology from the State University of New York at Albany, USA. He has over 30 years of management experience in developing and commercializing pharmaceutical products.
Lankau is currently a principal of Lankau Consulting LLC. He was previously utive Chairman of the Board for Nautilus Neurosciences, Inc., Chairman & CEO of Logical Therapeutics, Inc. and President & CEO of Endo Pharmaceuticals Inc. Prior to Endo Pharmaceuticals Inc., he was VP, Sales and Marketing for Alpharma, Inc. He began his pharmaceutical career with Rhone-Poulenc Rorer, Inc. (now Sanofi).
Lankau currently serves on the Board of Directors of ANI Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and Phosphagenics Limited and also on the Board of Advisors of Orchard Venture Partners, a life sciences venture capital firm.
