main-qimg-d4f6ac51008b6b23d2a6071184fcf9b2-cIn a move aimed at providing relief to thousands of medical practitioners across MP, the Madhya Pradesh Medical Council (MPMC) has decided to approve registration of doctors online from next week.

Students entering their one-year compulsory internship after MBBS can submit their fees and other documents on the official portal of MP government, MPOnline.

Under the current system in place, doctors need to travel to the state capital Bhopal for registration with the Medical Council of India-approved body.

“The process will be streamlined for the benefit of doctors. Verification of documents would take time, until then interim registration will be provided,” an official said.

Each applicant will be given a digital signature through the government portal. Currently, around 33,000 doctors are registered with MPMC. Each year around 30 students pass out from 19 medical colleges across MP.
