dr-shettyIn a conference organised by Brahmananda Narayana Multi-speciality Hospital in association with Jharkhand Chapter of Cardiology Society of India, eminent cardiac surgeon Devi Shetty acclaimed India’s potential to become world leader in healthcare by utilising Information Technology (IT).
According to Dr Shetty, the country has only 30,000 gynecologists, which needs two lakh of them and more pediatricians. He also urged the government to set up 500 medical colleges in next five years to produce adequate number of doctors by 2025.
He also added that healthcare is one of the biggest drivers to boost a country’s economy, especially in a developing country like India.
