Japan-based Konica Minolta Medical Imaging and Shimadzu Medical Systems USA have launched new MobileArt Evolution EFX AeroDR-I, an integrated portable X-ray solution.

Available with an integrated console and a 17in touch screen monitor, the system provides a wider viewing area to simplify operation and enhance clinical confidence.

Konica Minolta Medical Imaging digital radiography Guillermo Sander said: “Konica Minolta is pleased to continue working with Shimadzu to work together to enhance the portable DR imaging solutions we are providing to hospitals.

“We’re listening to our customers and providing the tools they need to efficiently and safely deliver high-quality imaging across diverse environments.”

The system’s larger console offers additional space for accessories and storage, and includes detector slot that allows bagging and cleaning of the AeroDR panel.

The CS-7 portable control station provides an easy-to-use and common interface on a 17in screen, which facilitates easier viewing for more patient-centric workflow and cable free operation of the digital portable X-ray solution helps in easy image detector positioning while reducing patient discomfort and stress during portable procedures.

To upgrade existing Mobile Art Evolution portable systems, the Konica Minolta AeroDR Portable Integrated Mount Kit with 17in touch monitor is also available as a retrofit kit for existing users.

The kit provides multiple flat panel detector choices for a variety of uses and purposes, including AeroDR XE HQ and Standard resolution 14x17in size, as well as a smaller 10x12in HQ FPD for pediatric NICU, or dual FPD solutions.
