Former Union Health minister Dr Harsh Vardhan has stated that his government will be ensuring the presence of numerous departments of scientific medicines for all diseases, with renewed focus on ayurvedic medicines at the All India Institutes of Medical Sciences across the country.

Recently speaking at the 6th All India Congress on Ayurveda in New Delhi, Dr Vardhan said that his government wants to make sure that Ayurveda gets its proper recognition in modern day Science. He added that Ayurveda had given solutions to most human problems long before modern medicine had done so.

“We want to ensure that ayurveda gets proper recognition in modern day science. We will create huge departments of ayush in the dozen All India Institutes of Medical Sciences which are coming up for holistic development of medicine. Our government is fully committed to giving ayurveda its due place,” said Dr. Vardhan
