08harshvardhan1Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan said there is no suspected case of the deadly ebola virus infection in India.

Dr Harsh Vardhan said India was carefully screening all passengers coming from ebola infected countries at airports.

He said that of the 112 people who returned from Liberia so far, only one had had shown some symptoms of ebola infection. The person had been quarantined, he said.

India has taken precautions against passengers arriving from Liberia, South Africa, UAE and Ethopita. Though UAE is not among the countries at risks, most flights coming from the other countries make a halt there. Aircrafts coming from these destinations are first taken to a remote bay, where the passengers are screened at the step-ladder exit itself. Passengers having a fever of those who may have come in contact with an infected persons are being isolated and taken to a hospital for further tests.
