Speaking on the occasion Rajendra P. Gupta, President, Disease Management Association of India said, Over the last decade, most Indian health-care providers have concentrated on expanding infrastructure to reach out to more patients through increased focus on technology, education & training. However there is a need to focus more intently on improving patient satisfaction specifically in the rural areas through innovative technology. Recognizing the increasing importance of growing healthcare needs in India, the Economic Times: Healthcare Summit aims to focus on the major developments in the healthcare sector and understand the existing challenges in the current scenario while preparing for the future.
