The Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust is testing the radio frequency identification (RFID) technology to track life-saving equipment. According to Rob Green, Managing Director of Isis, who developed the pilot, the trust is testing the performance of tags attached to life-saving equipment. The RFID technology will provide real time location of staff in emergency departments and track assets like laptops. Isis’s front end software will track the track the assets in real time.
