eHEALTH Bureau Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI) has introduced two new fully integrated analog front ends (AFEs) with a continuous wave (CW) Doppler mixer for mid- to high-end, Spectral Doppler ultrasound equipment. The AFE5807 and AFE5808 address ultrasound designers’ need for superior performance and image quality with the best noise performance at 0.75 nV/rtHz. In addition, the integrated CW mode measures and displays blood flow velocity in ultrasound images. These new devices from Texas Instruments are 25 percent smaller than competing solutions and ensure a compact system footprint for higher channel count. Speaking about these new products, Rakesh Joshi, Business Development Manager, Medical Business, Texas Instruments India said, “These low power devices come with high levels of integration, precision and performance which is aimed at addressing the growing needs of the mid to high-end portable ultrasound equipments segment in India. With the AFE5807 and AFE5808, we are extending TI’s ultrasound AFE family, with its high degree of diagnostic precision, small size and best noise and power performance capabilities.”
