Dinesh Trivedi, Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare, has mentioned that ministry is considering issuing of e-Health cards to all new borns in the country. While inaugurating a Naturopathy hospital in Didada village of Mandvi taluk of Kutch district on Monday, Trivedi told that his ministry wants to lay emphasis on introducing right to health for all. Trivedi was elected on Trinumool Congress party ticket in the 15th Lok Sabha.

It was described that every new born baby would be given an e-Health card which would include all the details related to the child such as the birth time, weight, blood group, how many vaccines have been administered, etc. ; in short a complete health profile of the child. The minister also mentioned that this was the first function after he had taken charge as MoS in the Union Cabinet and that too in his own village. The function was organised by Didada Sarvodaya Trust.
