TeleHealth Services, a provider of healthcare on-demand patient and staff education, healthcare televisions and communications solutions, has announced a joint initiative with UNC-TV, North Carolina’s member-supported statewide television network, to bring UNC-KD, a new digital TV channel providing programs for children 24 hours a day, to children’s hospitals throughout North Carolina.

To make the UNC-KD service more accessible, TeleHealth Services will absorb the cost of adding UNC-KD to the current line-up of programming at children’s hospitals throughout North Carolina. Tom Howe, UNC-TV’s Director and General Manager said “We are delighted to be able to extend this offer, in partnership with TeleHealth Services, to children’s hospitals in North Carolina. We believe this offer will be a welcome service to both children and parents during a stressful time and we are grateful to TeleHealth Services for making it possible.”
