The second phase of the Orissa Telemedicine Network will link six districts headquarter hospitals with the three medical college and hospitals in the Orissa, India. The second phase is almost completed. The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is supporting the Orissa Government for the project by providing hardware, software and VSAT connectivity, in this connection. The national organization is ready to lend all assistance to extend the telemedicine facility to the remaining 22 districts immediately after the Phase II work is complete. The Phase II includes the district headquarter hospitals at Koraput, Sundargarh, Baripada, Bhawanipatna, Rayagada and the Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar. In the third phase of the project National Informatics Centres (NIC) will provide the connectivity.
